Job summary

Virtua Health in Marlton, NJ is seeking a part-time Patient Care Technician to assist with activities of daily living under RN/LPN supervision. You will support the healthcare team, communicate with patients and families, and help with vital signs and basic tests.

Role requires a PCT/CNA background, strong communication, BLS certification, and ability to perform phlebotomy or EKG where certified. Per Diem schedule and day shifts offered, with comprehensive benefits for eligible staff.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication skills.
• Demonstrates knowledge of basic patient care skills, procedures and standards.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• PCT course or CNA program or RN fundamentals course, or equivalent of 1 year direct patient care.
• BLS certification.
• Phlebotomy training/education is required for Emergency Department positions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living under RN/LPN supervision.
• Communicate with healthcare team, patients and families per plan of care.
• Perform vital signs, point of care testing, and basic procedures as directed.
• Reinforce patient education and safety with patients and families.
• Support in orientation of new hires and participate in quality initiatives.
