Job summary

Virtua Health in Mount Holly, NJ is seeking a Patient Care Technician to assist with activities of daily living under the direction of a Registered Nurse or LPN.

You will support the healthcare team, convey changes in patient status, and help with education, safety, and adherence to isolation precautions.

This role requires a high school diploma, a completed PCT or CNA program (or equivalent experience), and BLS certification, with phlebotomy/EKG training as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Successful completion of a PCT program or equivalent (RN fundamentals, CNA) or 1 year direct patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and plan of care.
• Perform vital signs, point-of-care testing, bladder scanning, and Foley catheter care as directed.
• May perform phlebotomy and EKGs if certified.
• Communicate changes in patient status to RN/LPN and reinforce education.
• Participate in Virtua patient satisfaction initiatives and performance improvement.
• Assist in orientation of new hires.
