Job summary

UTMB Health is seeking a dedicated clinical support professional for full-time night shifts in the Webster, TX area. The role provides basic technical assistance and patient care, including vital signs, venipuncture, EKGs, POCT, and activities of daily living, under the guidance of a charge nurse.

A high school diploma or equivalent plus a nursing/medical program or two years of direct patient care is required, with BLS certification preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school or equivalent plus completion of an approved nursing/medical program or two years direct patient care experience.
  • BLS certification is required.
  • Ability to collect vital signs, blood samples, EKG, and POCT, while maintaining patient safety.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, report, and document vital signs, intake/output, and other patient data.
  • Obtain blood samples by venipuncture and perform 12-lead EKG.
  • Assist with daily patient activities and personal care per plan of care.
  • Support infection control and patient privacy in all tasks.
  • Assist in feeding, mobility, safety, and continence care as needed.
  • Document care activities and coordinate with nursing staff.
