Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide direct patient care across age groups, supporting the nursing team and care plan as it progresses from admission to discharge. The role emphasizes safety, accurate data collection, and compassionate patient interactions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of one of the listed dedicated programs (PCT/CNA/MA/ Fundamentals of Nursing) or equivalent medical background is required.
• HMH PCT Apprenticeship Program option available for eligible candidates.
• Experience in hospital settings or clinical skill is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care based on age, safety, and education needs.
• Document vital signs and clinical data; notify RN for abnormal results.
• Support interdisciplinary care planning from admission to discharge.
• Assist with procedures, specimen collection, and basic nursing tasks.
• Ensure equipment readiness and room readiness for patient care.
