Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health seeks a Patient Care Technician in New Jersey to provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. You will support patient safety, comfort and satisfaction and contribute to the interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Completed CNA/MA/PCT program or Fundamentals of Nursing or HMH PCT Apprenticeship.
• Equivalent medical background accepted; willingness to enter Apprenticeship if needed.
• AHA BLS or higher certification within 60 days (as stated in job duties).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care under RN supervision.
• Promote patient safety, comfort and satisfaction.
• Assist with interdisciplinary care planning from admission to discharge.
• Perform clinical tasks including vital signs, specimen collection, and basic procedures.
• Participate in unit performance improvement activities.
