Job summary

Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide basic patient care under RN supervision. Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, assisting with activities of daily living, and maintaining a clean patient environment.

The role involves three 12-hour shifts (7a–7:30p) with every other weekend and rotating holidays. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, CNA/CMA/EMT or nursing student rotation, and BLS/CPR certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Nursing students who have completed one clinical rotation.
• CNA, CMA, EMT, or nursing student with one semester of clinical completed.
• CPR - Basic Life Support (AHA) required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor vital signs and document intake and output.
• Assist patients with bathing, grooming and eating.
• Report changes to nursing staff promptly.
• Maintain clean and orderly patient rooms.
• Prioritize tasks in a busy unit and adapt to shifting needs.
• Communicate with other departments to coordinate patient care.
