Job summary

Mercy is hiring a Patient Care Technician to join our team. Education includes high school diploma or GED; enrollment in a healthcare program is acceptable. A 175-hour state-training will be provided during new-hire orientation.

BLS certification must be obtained within one month; PCT competencies must be completed within three months. The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, with prolonged standing and walking.

Qualifications

• No prior healthcare experience required; Mercy will provide a 175-hour training program meeting state requirements within 90 days of hire.
• BLS certification must be obtained within one month of hire.
• PCT competencies must be completed within 3 months of hire.
• Position requires lifting up to 50 pounds regularly and prolonged standing/walking.
• Preferred: EMT, Paramedic, or previous patient care experience.
• Preferred certifications: CNA, EMT, AUA, CPCT.
