Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs a rapid appraisal of a patient’s immediate stability and responds to insure the patient’s well-being.
• Transports patients to other departments on monitors as appropriate and requested.
• Assists RNs and Physicians with exams, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures (e.g., EKGs, wound care; vital signs; monitor leads; specimen collection).
• Documents care provided and monitors supply levels; notifies departments to ensure safety and equipment readiness.
• Supports the department by handling multiple priorities and maintaining communication with patients and families.
