Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System in The Woodlands, TX seeks a Patient Care Technician (PCT) II for its Float Pool. You will provide direct patient care under licensed nurse supervision, assist with ADLs, and document vital signs and care activities.

Requirements include one year of prior patient care experience, BLS certification within 90 days of employment, and adherence to safety and quality standards. The role is full-time day shift, 7:00 am–7:00 pm.

Qualifications

• One year of prior patient care experience in an acute care setting.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care for assigned patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Direct patient care duties include vital signs, hygiene support, toileting support, mobility support, nutrition support, bathing support, charting and other ADLs.
• Responsible for timely and accurate documentation of information and reporting unusual changes to the nurse.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment and adheres to safety policies and procedures.
• Obtains and prepares laboratory specimens as prescribed within scope of role.
• Supports orientation of new employees and contributes to department goals and quality of service.
• Demonstrates commitment to compassionate, personalized care for every member of our community.
