Qualifications

• One year of prior patient care experience (e.g. CNA, EMT, or PCT) or similar role.
• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association within 90 days of employment.
• Preferably in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse, including vital signs and activities of daily living as needed.
• Document information timely and accurately; report any unusual changes or findings to the nurse.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment; follow safety rules and departmental programs.
• Obtain and prepare laboratory specimens as prescribed within the scope of the role.
• Assist in orienting new employees as appropriate.
• Uphold policy standards and contribute to quality of service.
