Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician Apprentice to join our clinical team in New Jersey. The role will support nurses and clinicians with essential patient care activities, helping patients with daily living tasks and ensuring comfort and safety.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and have completed or be eligible for the PCT Apprentice program, CNA, or MA training. AHA BLS certification within 60 days is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Completion of CNA/MA/PCT program or Nursing program or HMH PCT Apprenticeship; others may enter via apprentice path.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs with strong teamwork and patient focus.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 60 days of start.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care under supervision and guidance of nurses and clinicians.
• Assist with daily living activities and comfort measures to support patient well-being.
