Job summary

CCMC Camden Clark Medical Center in Parkersburg, WV, seeks a Patient Care Technician to provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. The role supports licensed staff and contributes to high-quality patient care within the care team.

Responsibilities include observing patient conditions, assisting with admissions/transfers/discharges, recording vitals and intake/output, assisting with hygiene, specimen collection, and maintaining a safe, clean environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Must meet one of the following: Nationally certified patient care technician; Completion of WVUM Patient Care Technician program; Current CNA certification issued by state where services are provided.

Responsibilities

• Observe and report patient concerns/changes in condition to a registered nurse immediately.
• Assist RN with admission, transfer, discharge and general patient care duties.
• Record vital signs and assist in hygiene and comfort measures; monitor intake and output.
• Assist in specimen collection and other patient care activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment to prevent infections and ensure safety.
• Report equipment repairs promptly and support departmental operations.
