Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join our care team in Neptune City, NJ. Under RN supervision, you will deliver direct and indirect patient care across a busy unit, focusing on safety, comfort, and quality outcomes.

You will perform vital signs, specimen collection, hygiene, and assist with procedures, documenting findings and coordinating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an approved PCT/CNA/MA program or enrollment in the HMH PCT Apprenticeship Program.
• AHA BLS/Basic Life Support within 60 days of start.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care under RN supervision.
• Take vital signs and document findings in patient records.
• Draw blood and perform venipuncture as needed.
• Assist with patient transport, hygiene, and comfort.
• Maintain equipment, supply inventory, and a safe patient environment.
• Adhere to unit/department PI activities and care plans.
