Job summary

MLK Community Healthcare in Los Angeles is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support direct patient care under RN supervision. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor vital signs, and help ensure a safe, clean environment as part of a collaborative health care team.

The role requires caring, effective communication, and adherence to hospital policies. Prior CNA experience and BLS are preferred, with training on safety protocols provided.

Qualifications

• Six months of recent hospital, clinic or SNF/Home Health care experience.
• California CNA certification preferred; BLS required.
• Complete Workplace Violence Prevention training within 30 days of hire.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily living activities and safe mobility.
• Measure and record vital signs and intake/output in EHR.
• Provide safety companion care and respond to patient needs promptly.
• Observe for distress or changes and report to RN immediately.
• Support patient flow, discharge processes, and unit operations.
