Job summary

Westchester Medical Center Health Network is seeking a Patient Care Technician to perform basic patient care tasks under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse. You will assist with ADLs, transport patients, and help ensure patient safety and comfort in a fast-paced setting.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and at least 6 months of related experience; BLS is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months recent experience in a similar setting or behavioral health setting or nursing student with one clinical rotation completed.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide ADLs (hygiene, toileting, feeding) and assist with patient comfort under RN/LPN supervision.
• Assist with transporting and ambulating patients, including discharge support as requested.
• Report changes in patient condition to RN and participate in care planning and safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and assist with basic clerical tasks as needed.
