Job summary

Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) seeks a Patient Care Technician to assist with basic patient care, monitor vital signs and support nursing staff in a busy hospital setting. You will help with daily activities, maintain clean rooms and ensure patient comfort.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of patient care experience preferred.
• BLS required upon hire and maintained thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Keep patient rooms tidy and sanitized.
• Assist patients with daily needs (hygiene, restroom, grooming).
• Monitor vital signs and patient condition.
• Assist nursing staff in administering basic treatments.
• Ensure rooms have adequate patient care supplies; linen is clean.
• Provide emotional support to patients and families.
• Place patient on cardiac monitor.
• Empty drains, ostomies, Foley bags.
• Perform blood sugar checks.
• Assist with other duties assigned by the department leader.
