Tennova Healthcare- North Knoxville Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support nursing staff and provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced setting. You will assist with activities of daily living, data collection, and safe, organized patient environments, under RN/LPN supervision.

Ideal candidates have 0–2 years in acute care or are nursing students, with BCLS within 90 days and CNA/CPCT preferred, demonstrating strong communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in an acute care setting or currently enrolled in a nursing program.
• BCLS within 90 days of hire required.
• CPCT or CNA certification preferred.
• Basic knowledge of patient care practices and equipment.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and work collaboratively.

Responsabilités

• Assist nursing staff in delivering care, perform delegated basic patient care services, and maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment.
• Collect and record patient data including vital signs, intake/output, and report findings to RN/LPN/LVN.
• Support patients with meals, bathing, grooming, and mobility needs.
• Assist with patient positioning and ambulation using mobility aids.
• Maintain infection control and PPE protocols and document/report changes to the care team.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and risk management reporting.
