Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician/Senior Nursing Attendant for the KP 12 Surgical Transplant unit on the Evening Shift (37.5 hours). The role supports licensed nurses by providing compassionate patient care, assisting with procedures, and ensuring safety and cleanliness across the unit.

The ideal candidate has a PCT or CNA background, with hospital experience, BLS/CPR certification, and the ability to work in a dynamic, diverse environment with strong patient service skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of a PCT program with at least 6 months hospital experience or CNA graduate with EKG & Phlebotomy coursework and PCT certification eligible plus 6 months hospital experience.
• BLS or Heartsaver CPR/AED certification required upon entry to the position.

Responsibilities

• Assist in data collection for Quality and Performance Improvement.
• Support nurse with patient care tasks and safety of supplies/equipment.
• Participate in unit meetings, orientation, and mandatory education.

• Maintain clean, safe patient environments and proper equipment/supplies.
