Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician/Senior Nursing Attendant for the Cardiac Care Unit evening shift (37.5 hours). The role supports nurses in caring for patients, families and ensuring safe, compassionate care with a focus on unit safety and environmental maintenance.

The position requires a PCT program graduate or CNA with EKG/Phlebotomy training, solid patient communication, and BLS/CPR eligibility on entry.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of a PCT program with hospital experience or CNA with EKG & Phlebotomy coursework and PCT cert eligible.
• BLS/Heartsaver CPR/AED certification required on entry.

Responsibilities

• Assist professional nurse in patient and family care with assigned tasks.
• Maintain supplies, equipment, and environment safety per unit standards.
• Support data collection for quality and performance improvement.
• Assist in patient admissions, transfers, and discharges per procedures.
• Demonstrate NYU Langone Core Values in all duties.
