Job summary

NYU Langone Health is hiring a Patient Care Technician/Senior Nursing Attendant for the PACU day shift. The role involves assisting the professional nurse in patient care, maintaining a safe and compassionate environment, and supporting unit activities.

The candidate should have PCT or CNA background, BLS/CPR, and willingness to complete required training within 3 months. Qualifications include high school diploma, PCT program or CNA with EKG/Phlebotomy coursework, and hospital experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; PCT program graduate or CNA with EKG & Phlebotomy coursework and PCT certification eligible plus 6 months hospital experience.
• PCT Certification through National Healthcareer Association (NHA) with 6 months hospital experience qualifies.
• BLS or Heartsaver CPR/AED certification required upon entry.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates NYU Langone Health Core Values in duties.

• Accounts for supplies, equipment, and environmental support.
• Assists in data collection for Quality and Performance Improvement programs.
• Supports nurse in reviewing action plans for patient/family satisfaction.
