Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provides safe and direct patient care: ambulating, bathing, positioning, feeding and attending to care needs.
• Greets patients and visitors, answers inquiries, and assists with messages and errands for department staff.
• Ambulates patients, measures intakes/outputs, collects specimens, and transports patients as needed.
• Answers telephone and paging system, assists with emergencies and directs traffic as required.
• Prepares requisitions for diagnostic and therapeutic services and coordinates outpatient appointments.
• Requests services such as Chaplain, social services, and pastoral care as directed.
• Performs clerical duties related to admissions, discharges, charts, transfers, and related forms.
• Manages interdepartmental and patient mail; maintains patient room cleanliness and supplies.
