Job summary

Avera Queen of Peace is seeking a PRN patient care assistant to provide routine, compassionate care under nurse and physician supervision. You will ambulate, bathe, position, assist with meals, and respond to call lights, ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) license preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Visual acuity sufficient for patient care tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine patient care under nurse/physician direction.
• Assist with ambulation, bathing, positioning, meals, and daily activities.
• Respond to patient call bells and assist with needs promptly.
• Prepare and coordinate diagnostic/therapeutic appointments and charting.
