Qualifications

• CNA certification or currently enrolled in nursing school who has completed basic clinical rotations.
• CPR recognition by the American Heart Association (BLS for Healthcare Providers).
• Minimum of 90% on annual mandatory Health and Safety Training quizzes.
• One year of college or nursing education or equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct Patient Care Activities: assists with admission, transfer, and discharge; takes and records vital signs; measures intake/output; applies cardiac monitor/oximetry; obtains EKG; newborn care; phlebotomy; prepares patients for procedures; transports patients when needed.
• Indirect Patient Care: maintains a safe, clean environment; completes charges and inventories; orders supplies; ensures room readiness; participates in quality improvement activities; follows patient-first philosophy.
