Job summary

Memorial Health in Marysville, OH is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join our collaborative team. The PCT will support licensed nurses with direct and indirect patient care, assist with daily living activities, and help maintain a safe and comfortable environment to promote optimal patient outcomes.

The role requires high school diploma, AHA BLS within 60 days, and BHDT training within six months; weekend/holiday shifts may be required, with opportunities for growth and a supportive team

Qualifications

• Completion of high school education supplemented with coursework or experience evidencing basic patient care knowledge.
• Currently enrolled in nursing or related medical field and/or proven competency-based qualifications of PCT II.
• American Heart Association BLS certification within 60 days of hire and maintains certification; BHDT within 6 months and maintains annual certification.

Responsibilities

• Assists with activities of daily living and maintains a safe, clean environment to support optimal patient outcomes.
• Collects vital signs, weights, I&O, and fingerstick glucose; reports findings to licensed nurses and documents diligently.
• Greets and assists patients; acts as liaison between patients and staff; provides wheelchair assistance and directs people appropriately.
• Performs administrative duties such as data entry and chart breakdown; ensures accurate record keeping and reports abnormal signs promptly.
• Responds to emergencies and may work weekend/holiday shifts as scheduled.
