Job summary

Community Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) in Naples, FL, to assist with activities of daily living, data collection, and communication within the care team. The role supports RN/LPN staff and ensures a safe, clean patient environment during day shifts.

Ideal candidates have 0-2 years in acute care or are enrolled in a nursing program, with BCLS certification within 90 days. CNA certification is preferred or in progress.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in an acute care setting or currently enrolled in a Nursing program preferred.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support within 90 days of hire required
• CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant preferred or in training

Responsibilities

• Assists nursing staff in delivering care and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
• Collects and records vital signs, height, weight, oxygen saturation, intake/output, and calories.
• Supports patients with meals, grooming, bathing, linen changes, and mobility needs.
• Assists with patient positioning, ambulation, and use of mobility aids.
• Collects urine and stool samples and monitors blood glucose via finger sticks.
• Delivers effective communication to the care team and maintains confidentiality.
