Job summary

Riverview Health in Noblesville, IN is seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support patient care under RN supervision. Responsibilities include observing and documenting findings, assisting with hygiene, mobility, meal service, and basic clinical tasks in line with CLIA/CP guidelines. Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Preferred: 1 year in a hospital setting. Licensure: BLS required within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent qualifications.
• Preferred: One year in a hospital environment providing similar health services as a CNA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Observe, document, and communicate significant findings, and any procedure results, to the Registered Nurse to minimize and prevent delays or complications in patient care.
• Document pertinent patient care data on forms or electronic chart following guidelines and requirements.
• Assist in routine hygienic, nutritional, and comfort needs of patients (bathing, fluids, feeding, mobility, linens, grooming, toileting).
• Perform routine clinical tests and procedures (vital signs, measurements, bladder ultrasound, suction setup).
• Function as testing personnel under CLIA regulations for point-of-care testing if applicable.
• Provide basic nursing support tasks (call lights, transport, transfers, range of motion).
• Assist physicians and other team members with treatments and procedures as directed.
• Perform unit support functions (phone, supplies, room orientation, cleanliness).
• May function as patient sitter under nursing supervisor direction.
• Responsibilities include patient care activities within CNA scope of practice under supervision.
• Other duties as assigned.
