Job summary

PVH Potomac Valley Hospital in Keyser, WV is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Tech for Med-Surg to deliver direct patient care under RN supervision. 36 hours weekly, non-exempt position, in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The role requires observation and reporting of patient changes, assistance with admissions/discharges, vitals, hygiene, and maintaining a clean, safe environment. Certification and good communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Nurse's Aide Certification issued by WV, OH, PA or MD.
• Prior patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Observes and reports patient concerns/changes to Nursing Staff immediately.
• Assists Nursing Staff with admission, transfer, discharge and general patient care duties.
• Records vital signs, assists in personal hygiene and other patient comfort measures.
• Records oral intake and outputs and assists with specimens when needed.
• Maintains a clean, safe environment to prevent infections and ensure safety.
• Communicates nutrition issues to Nursing Staff when needed.
