Job summary

Yale NewHaven Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant/CNA to provide daily patient care under RN supervision. You will assist with activities of daily living, take vital signs, perform non-sterile treatments, and collect specimens as assigned, while upholding PFCC principles.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, CNA certification or nursing program enrollment, and preferred experience in ECG, phlebotomy, or nurse aide roles.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be a CNA or complete certification prior to orientation or currently enrolled in nursing program after one nursing rotation.
• One year of patient care experience preferred (EKG, Phlebotomy, Nurse Aide).

Responsibilities

• Perform daily patient care activities and assist with activities of daily living.
• Collect data including weight, temperature, pulse, respiration and blood pressure.
• Perform non-sterile treatments and phlebotomy as assigned.
• Engage in PFCC and maintain professional interactions with patients and families.
