Job summary
Allina Health in Minnesota is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide basic direct and indirect patient care under supervision. You will support RNs and physicians by taking vital signs and assisting with daily living activities and transfers while ensuring accurate documentation.
This 0.75 FTE role (60 hours per two-week pay period) includes 12-hour day/night shifts with every 3rd weekend rotation. Candidates must complete a CNA program or nursing rotations and hold a current BLS
Qualifications
- One semester of clinical rotations with an accredited nursing program.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program or completion of Allina Health Nursing Assistant Academy Program.
- NREMT certification upon hire or previous direct patient care experience.
Responsibilities
- Observe, collect, and document patient health data as assigned.
- Take and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, blood pressure, respirations, weight, intake/output).
- Assist patients with activities of daily living and transfers under RN direction.
- Document according to EMR guidelines.
- Assist with admission, discharge and transfer processes and patient registration.
