Job summary

Guthrie is seeking a Patient Care Partner to join the 6NW unit on a full-time, day-shift schedule. You will work under RN/LPN supervision to provide hands-on patient care, assist with activities of daily living, monitor conditions, and help create a safe, healing environment in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities include assisting with mobility, vital signs, specimen collection, basic procedures, and contributing to patient safety and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Lifts, turns, and positions patients using Safe Patient Handling equipment (>35 pounds) as appropriate.
• Observes confused or difficult patients.
• Assists with AM/PM hygiene care and daily living activities (toileting, washing, grooming).
• Provides feeding assistance and helps with range of motion exercises.
• Mobilizes patients and assists with transfers and ambulation while following safety protocols.
• Performs and records vital signs and activities of daily living; tracks intake/output.
• Collects specimens (urine, stool, sputum) and conducts basic monitoring as directed by RN/LPN.
• Completes EKGs and basic glucose monitoring in non-critical areas.
• Transports patients and equipment; assists with nourishment distribution.
• Participates in patient safety and patient satisfaction initiatives.
