Job summary

Mercy Hospital Washington is seeking a Patient Care Associate (PCA) for a part-time role in the Surgical & Orthopedic Unit. Shift: Days, 24 hours per week, under RN/LPN supervision. No prior experience required; a 175-hour training program is offered within 90 days, with BLS due within 1 month of hire.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required; CNA/CPTC certification or enrollment in a healthcare program preferred.
• No prior experience required – Mercy will train you.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk frequently.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and record vital signs in EMR.
• Assist patients with meals, hygiene, toileting, ambulation and transport.
• Provide clerical support as needed.
