Job summary

Tenet Healthcare's DMC Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan in Detroit seeks a Patient Care Associate to provide direct and indirect patient care under RN supervision. You will assist with patient needs, transport patients, and handle specimens and supplies as part of a compassionate care team.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, plus completion of PCA/PCT, CNA, MA, EMT, or phlebotomy programs, or 2+ years inpatient PCA experience. Full-time, day shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of PCA/PCT program or CNA/MA/EMT/phlebotomy training is required or preferred.
• At least 2 years inpatient patient care experience, with 6 months preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care needs under RN supervision.
• Transport patients, specimens, and supplies.
• Report deviations from expected patient parameters to RN.

Education

High school diploma or GED

Certified PCA/PCT Program

Certified Nurse Assistant Program or equivalent training

Medical Assistant Program

EMT program

Phlebotomy training program

2 years inpatient PCA/tech experience

6 months direct patient care experience (preferred)
