Job summary

Tenet Sinai-Grace Hospital in Detroit seeks a Patient Care Tech (PCT) for the Step Down unit. You will support registered nurses with direct and indirect patient care, assist with activities of daily living and respond to emergencies as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and completion of PCA/PCT, CNA, MA, EMT, or phlebotomy programs, with six months of direct patient care preferred. This is a full-time position with day shifts and 0.9 FTE.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of one of the listed programs (PCA/PCT, CNA, MA, EMT, phlebotomy).
• With six months direct patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with care team to ensure quality and patient-focused care.
• Performs basic patient care activities under a registered nurse supervision.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Follows policies, safety, and infection control standards.
• Maintains patient privacy and communicates for care planning.
• Performs general clerical tasks as needed.
