Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Patient Care Aide (PCA) to support the RN or LPN in individualized patient care and to work as part of a collaborative team. The role involves performing designated clinical procedures and non-clinical tasks essential to patient wellness.

No prior experience is required. Mercy will provide a 175-hour training program within 90 days of hire to meet state requirements; BLS is needed within one month, with PCA competencies within three months.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma, GED, CNA/CPTC, or enrolled in a healthcare career program.
• Experience: None required.
• Certifications: BLS required within 1 month; PCA competencies within 3 months.
• Training: 175-hour program within 90 days of hire as part of orientation.
• Physical: Lifts up to 50 pounds; prolonged standing and walking; kneeling, reaching, bending, twisting as needed.
