Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Patient Care Associate (PCA) to assist with individualized patient care under RN/LPN supervision. The role supports the care team, performs basic clinical tasks, and helps document care in the electronic medical records system.

Training includes an accredited DOL apprenticeship program with a 175-hour required training for new hires, plus BLS within one month. A CNA certification is preferred, with opportunities for career growth within Mercy.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Preferred CNA certification (CNA/CPTC).
• Experience: None required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs and document into the EMR.
• Assist with patient care needs including meals, bathing, toileting, ambulation, mobility and transport.
• Provide clerical support as needed.
