Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network seeks a patient care oriented professional for vital signs monitoring, EKG, phlebotomy, and patient support. You will document care, follow treatment plans, and assist with patient mobilization to ensure comfort and safety.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, with health care training preferred. BLS certification within 60 days is expected, along with basic computer skills and ongoing competency training.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Health care specialty training preferred.
• Obtain BLS certification within sixty days of employment or transfer to position.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Attend St. Luke’s APC and MT courses or evidence of training by competency testing.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs; intake and output measurements.
• Perform EKG and glucometry.
• Conduct phlebotomy and specimen collection.
• Document all assigned responsibilities.
• Follow treatment plans prescribed by licensed personnel.
• Ensure patient comfort and satisfaction with service.
• Assist in patient mobilization using proper body mechanics and aides.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to the unit team.
• Restock unit supplies and perform equipment checks.
• Participate in unit-based performance improvement and budget awareness.
