St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking a Patient Care Assistant dedicated to delivering compassionate, safe patient care on the unit.

You will perform vital signs, intake and output, EKGs, phlebotomy support, and ensure comfort and timely delivery of services while following the treatment plan established by licensed staff. Responsibilities include patient mobilization, equipment checks, documentation, and participation in unit-based performance improvement.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Health care specialty training preferred.
• BLS certification within sixty (60) days of employment or transfer.

Responsabilités

• Performs vital signs, intake and output measurements, EKGs, glucometry, and phlebotomy as assigned.
• Documents all assigned responsibilities and follows the treatment plan.
• Ensures patient comfort and satisfaction with service; assists with patient mobilization.
• Communicates changes in patients’ conditions to the unit-based team.
• Restocks unit supplies and performs equipment checks and maintenance as appropriate.
• Participates in unit-based performance improvement and adheres to budget awareness.
