Qualificações

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• No licensure or certification required.
• Basic reading, writing and math skills; knowledge of medical terminology.
• Basic computer skills and interpersonal communication.

Responsabilidades

• Cares for patients as delegated by the RN and assists with activities of daily living.
• May take and record vital signs and report unusual observations to the nurse.
• Collects specimens and tracks intake/output for analysis.
• Performs basic clinical procedures under supervision as needed.
• Supports nutrition needs, room-service setup and feeding as required.
• Follows policies for access to non-controlled meds such as IV solutions.
• Supports safety, infection control and patient safety measures.
• Assists as a patient safety attendant after required competency.
• Helps orient new Nursing Assistant colleagues and participates in unit activities.
