Job summary

The Brigham and Women's Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to support licensed personnel in daily patient care tasks at our onsite facility located at 75 Francis Street. The role includes taking vital signs, assisting with activities of daily living, and completing medical records documentation.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, with 0–1 year of care experience preferred. BLS, CMA, CNA certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Experience in patient care/elder care is advantageous.
• Basic life support and nursing assistant credentials are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs vital signs, weights/heights, intakes, and outputs with accuracy.
• Completes documentation in the medical record as required.
• Interacts with patients and families effectively.
• Assists with bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding as needed.
• Helps turning and repositioning patients and assists with mobility as required.
• Listens to health concerns and reports them to nurses.
