Job summary

Qualifications

• Complete the Patient Care Assistant training course satisfactorily.
• Walk, hear, and function within required shift parameters.
• Follow facility policies and chain of command.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, dressing, eating, toileting and daily activities.
• Provide personal care and grooming support as needed.
• Assist residents to dining rooms, bathrooms and activity areas.
• Take and record vital signs as ordered by the provider.
• Document care provided in resident treatment records.
• Orient new residents to the facility and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper order of clothing and linens.
• Report changes in health or mental status to the supervisor.
• Ensure confidentiality and proper use of equipment.
