Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is hiring a Nursing Assistant to support patient care under supervision of a Registered Nurse in our Massachusetts Burlington facility. You will help with personal needs, comfort and safety, and perform daily living activities as delegated.

Responsibilities include recording vital signs, assisting with meals, monitoring intake and output, and maintaining infection control and safety standards. BLS is required or will be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic ability to read, write and perform basic four-function math.
• New hires/transfers will have 30 days to obtain BLS certification.
• Basic personal computer skills and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Takes and records vital signs and reports abnormalities to nurse.
• Assists with nutrition, room service and feeding as required.
• Maintains infection control practices and safety for patients.
• Supports orientation of new Nursing Assistant colleagues.
