Job summary

The ideal candidate holds a HS diploma or GED, CNA/MA certification or enrollment in a BSN program, and at least one year of direct patient care experience. Respiratory fit testing will be required after hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of CNA/MA program or certification (e.g. CNA, MA) required.
• Currently enrolled in a BSN degree with at least one clinical rotation completed at hire.
• Minimum of 1 year of direct patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with collection and documentation of patient/family data.
• Obtain and document vital signs and notify supervisor of abnormal findings.
• Provide high-quality patient care in collaboration with the RN and patient/family.
• Collaborate with multiple RNs to prioritize workload based on patient/family needs.
• Assist in identifying patient/family response to care provided.
• Provide input to the RN for the plan of care development and modification.
• Maintain accountability for personal development and support others.
• Demonstrate teamwork, flexibility, and strong interpersonal/customer service skills.
• Participate in achieving hospital/unit goals.
