Licking Memorial Health Systems is a leading non-profit healthcare organization serving Newark and surrounding communities. As a Patient Care Assistant, you will support licensed clinicians and help provide compassionate, safe care across the 4 West unit.

This role offers day shifts, a part-time schedule, and opportunities to advance through our Patient Care Assistant-Student Nurse path with a $2/hr differential and expanded tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• Minimum: high school diploma or GED.
• Read, write, and follow verbal or written instructions.
• Maintain CPR certification.
• STNA/NA/MA licensure preferred.
• Obtain/maintain electronic medical record documentation skills.
• LMH/Hosp accreditation may require additional trainings.

Responsibilities

• Lifts, transfers, transport patients safely to an inpatient bed and to and from ancillary departments.
• Collect, perform and document urine and glucometer tests and quality controls.
• Collect, label, and enter specimens obtained.
• Perform one-to-one monitoring on high-risk patients when requested by RN or physician.
• Obtain vitalsigns and weights.
• Enters work orders in computer.
• Stocks supplies at bedside.
