Job summary

Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to support nursing staff in daily patient care tasks and unit operations. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), you will assist with bathing, positioning, transporting patients, stocking supplies and aiding dietary tasks.

Required is a high school diploma or GED; CNA training is preferred and current BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CNA certification preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Previous receptionist/hospital unit secretarial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists the unit with patient care duties such as cleaning/bathing patients, positioning, re-positioning and transporting patients, stocking shelves, cleaning equipment and assisting with dietary tasks.
• All work performed under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
