Job summary

Mille Lacs Health System in Minnesota is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support the professional nursing staff in delivering compassionate patient care. You will assist with hygiene, nutrition, mobility, and routine treatments under supervision.

You will document vital signs and care in the Electronic Medical Record, uphold infection control and patient rights, and help maintain a safe, respectful environment for patients and staff during day/evening shifts that include weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

Must be registered with the MN Board of Nursing as a Nursing Assistant.
Attention to detail, organization, and prioritization skills.
Computer skills and ability to document EHR.

Responsibilities

Assist with patient hygiene, nutrition, activity and treatments per MLHS policies.
Observe patients and report changes to the Team Leader.
Document patient cares in the EMR (vital signs, intake/output, meals, ADLs).
Maintain a safe, clean environment adhering to infection control policies.
Uphold the Patient's Bill of Rights and patient privacy.
Use proper lifting techniques and PPE as required.
Report accidents or safety hazards promptly.
Keep patient rooms, kitchenette, and hallways neat and orderly.
