Job summary

Mille Lacs Health System is seeking a Nursing Assistant on our Senior Care Unit to support nursing staff in patient care and daily activities. The role emphasizes patient hygiene, mobility assistance, vital sign checks, and accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record under RN supervision.

The position follows a 12-hour shift with weekend work as needed, in a hospital setting serving the Mille Lacs community. CPR certification and MN NAR registration are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Registered Nursing Assistant with MN Board.
• CPR certification required.
• Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Monitor vital signs and report changes to RN.
• Document patient care in the EMR.
• Assist admission and orient new patients to the unit.
• Observe patients and communicate needs to the RN.
• Maintain patient environment and safety during care.
