Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health’s Lourdes Hospital seeks a Care Companion to provide basic health care and support under the guidance of a Registered Nurse. The role includes sanitizing rooms, monitoring vitals, and assisting patients with feeding and grooming.

You will create a safe environment, act as a liaison between patients and nurses, and deliver compassionate customer service to patients, families, and staff. Healthcare experience is preferred; BLS certification may be required.

Qualifications

• Recent experience in a healthcare environment preferred but not required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred prior to direct patient care.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care support and basic needs under supervision.
• Sanitize and clean patient rooms and assist with mobility.
• Report changes or concerns to a nurse promptly.
• Deliver high-level customer service to patients and families.
