Job summary

Mercy Health in Kentucky seeks a Care Companion at Lourdes Hospital to support basic patient care under the guidance of Registered Nurses. The role includes assisting with daily living activities, ensuring patient comfort, and facilitating a safe, respectful patient environment.

As part of a faith-based, patient-centered team, you will communicate changes to nurses and contribute to high-quality care while delivering friendly, professional service to patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Provides support to the patient including care and comfort, personal care and hygiene, toileting, and mobility.
• Creates a safe environment for patients.
• Acts as liaison between patient and nurse to report changes or concerns.
• Provides high-level customer service to all patients, patient's family, visitors and all employees.
• Participates in hand-off/report of pertinent information regarding patient and departmental needs upon arrival and when leaving.
