Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is seeking a Patient Access Coordinator - Wellness to support clinic operations, patient flow, and scheduling. This on-site role requires critical thinking, empathy, and strong computer skills to navigate multiple scheduling systems.

The position offers Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, with an hourly pay range of $25.72–$36.62 based on experience. Benefits are included and the organization values collaboration and compassionate care.

Qualifications

High school graduate or equivalent.
One year of customer service experience required.
Ability to work independently and prioritize concurrent responsibilities.
Ability to thrive in a high pressure healthcare environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Attention to scheduling accuracy.
Bilingual skills preferred.

Responsibilities

Coordinate scheduling and direct patient flow within the clinic.
Greet and screen patients and check them in using an automated scheduling system.
Assemble and distribute appropriate paperwork to patients and staff.
Triage questions from callers and route to appropriate staff.
Schedule all patient appointments and referrals; coordinate with departments.
Maintain communication with patients, families, providers and staff regarding needs.
Notify parties about scheduling needs and treatment schedules.
Assist with training of new staff.
