Job summary

Millenia Hospice is seeking a compassionate Part-Time Hospice Aide/CNA to provide personal care to patients in the Dallas area. Works under RN supervision following the patient Plan of Care, ensuring comfort, dignity, safety and quality of life in home, facility, or community settings.

The ideal candidate is dependable, attentive, and committed to end-of-life comfort-focused care, with travel within the Dallas service area and the ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary hospice

Qualifications

• Active Texas CNA certification required.
• Three to five years of CNA experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to travel throughout Dallas service area.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with an interdisciplinary hospice team.
• Strong communication, organization and time-management skills.
• Dependability with timely visits and documentation.
• HIPAA compliance and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on personal care per Plan of Care.
• Assist with bathing, grooming, oral hygiene, skin care and daily living activities.
• Provide mobility assistance, transfers and positioning.
• Offer feeding assistance when appropriate per Plan of Care.
• Maintain a safe, clean patient environment and protect privacy.
• Observe patient changes and report to RN Case Manager.
• Document visits and patient responses accurately within required timelines.
• Coordinate with hospice team and participate in care planning meetings.
